Each decade has a medal on it: Guardian Angels — to represent the baby’s Guardian Angel, St. Zelie and Louis Martin medal — they had multiple miscarriages, St. Gianna Molla — a saint who had many children and died for her last one and St. Teresa of Kolkata — a saint of suffering and love. Each detail, even the blue and pink Hail Mary’s are carefully chosen to memorialize the pain and love of losing a child before birth.
