To His Mercy

When the Harprings were trying to decide on what statue to use in their first Little Souls Cemetery, they did not want to use a stock image but wanted to use an image that spoke specifically to miscarriage.
Rebecca liked to envision Jesus smiling at her babies while they reached toward Him, happy to be playing in His arms. Therefore, the Harprings reached out to Michael McCarthy in Indianapolis, Indiana and asked him if he could draw the image for them. He agreed to do so and the image “To His Mercy” came into existence to show our vision of our babies in God’s merciful keeping.
The Harprings’ son is always proud to tell people that he was the model for the baby in the image.
Mr. McCarthy gifted the copyright of the image to Covenant Resources Miscarriage Ministry™ enabling the image to be a part of every Little Souls Cemetery™ that we help establish. It also enables us to use it in many other forms to bless families that we provide care to.
The Harprings and Covenant Resources Miscarriage Ministry™ will be forever grateful for this beautiful gift that Mr. McCarthy has given us.

When Covenant Resources Miscarriage Ministry™ became a 501c3 nonprofit, we needed a simplified logo that could be used independently or alongside our “To His Mercy” image.
We like to say “God has our miscarried babies in His merciful keeping. We hold them in our hearts.” Therefore, Chris Harpring came up with the concept of a baby within a heart being held by hands.
The baby inside the heart represents holding our babies in our hearts while God’s hands are holding all of us in his keeping. We thank the graphic designer, Corinne Stroud, for helping us get Chris’ concept in a format we could use.
